Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 22, 2026  |  Compliance Standard: Singapore PDPA & Google Play Guidelines

1. Microphone Usage & The Zero-Cloud Guarantee

The ClearTone App operates primarily as a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) tool to assist users with hearing clarity. To provide real-time audio enhancement, noise reduction, and equalization, our App requires the RECORD_AUDIO permission.

Zero-Cloud Guarantee: We emphatically state that all microphone audio data is processed 100% locally on your device's Central Processing Unit. No audio recordings or voice data are EVER transmitted over the internet, saved to storage, or shared with third parties. Audio data exists only momentarily in the processing buffer and is instantly destroyed.

2. Bluetooth Configuration Data

To establish a secure hardware-binding lock and verify the authenticity of your purchase, the App utilizes BLUETOOTH_CONNECT and BLUETOOTH_SCAN permissions. We only scan for authorized MAC addresses related to the ClearTone hardware.

We do not request or utilize location permissions. We do not track your physical whereabouts. The Bluetooth handshake is executed purely for licensing validation.

3. Anonymous Cloud Analytics

When connected to the internet, the App may send anonymous telemetry data—such as equalizer preset preferences, crash sequences, and general app engagement times—to our Vercel/Firebase infrastructure. This data contains no personal identifiers and is used strictly to improve the AI tuning models for all users.

4. Payment & License Data

Digital subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime) are managed and processed securely through Google Play Billing. Hardware earbuds purchases are processed by Stripe. ClearTone does not host, process, or store your credit card details in either case.

5. Third-Party Services

ClearTone integrates the following third-party services. Each service's data handling is governed by their respective privacy policies:

Google Play Billing: Used for processing digital subscriptions and in-app purchases. Google manages all payment card details and billing information. Google Privacy Policy

Stripe: Used exclusively for processing hardware (earbuds) purchases. Stripe collects payment card details, email address, and billing information directly. ClearTone never receives or stores your card number. Stripe Privacy Policy

No other third-party SDKs that collect personal data are integrated into the ClearTone App.

6. Your Data Rights (PDPA)

Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

Access: You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.

Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw consent for data collection at any time by uninstalling the App or revoking permissions in your device settings.

Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at derrick3096@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 business days.

Portability: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Data Retention

Audio data: Never stored. Processed in real-time memory buffers only and immediately discarded.

Authentication data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.

Purchase records: Digital subscription records are managed by Google Play. Hardware purchase records are retained by Stripe for the duration required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years).

Anonymous analytics: Retained for up to 24 months, then automatically purged.
